■ IE8 に対応した ExplorerCanvas Release 3 がリリース
ExplorerCanvas は、Internet Explorer でも Canvas の機能を使えるようにする JavaScript です。 サイトが Google Code 上に引っ越しし、新たに公式ブログも作られたようです。
前バージョンからの変更点がブログに載っていますが、 あまり整理されていない書き方だったので、主な変更点を以下にまとめてみました。
- IE8 に対応
- transform(), setTransform() メソッドのサポート
- 線形グラデーションのサポート
- 線の太さの表示を改善
- その他の不具合の修正
また、ダウンロードできる zip ファイルには含まれていないのですが、 Silverlight 版の ExplorerCanvas も開発されています。 Silverlight 版は以下の URL からダウンロードできます。
まだ試したことはないのですが、通常の VML 版の ExplorerCanvas より高速に動作するはずです。
ついでに宣伝。 ExplorerCanvas は Internet Explorer でも Canvas の機能を使えるようにしてくれますが、 同様に SVG の機能を提供してくれる SIE というのもあります。 単純に SVG の画像を表示するような用途でしたら、それなりに実用になると思います。 サンプルをいくつか載せておきますので、IE で見てみて下さい。
ただし、最新版の SIE 0.45 は radialGradient の機能に不具合があるので、 修正版が出るまでは SIE 0.43 を使う方が良いかもしれません。
